PRIMARY HEALTHCARE AND HEALTH AWARENESS PROGRAMME:

The indispensable healthcare includes health and nutrition, and water and sanitation education, along with family planning and pregnancy care, management of common communicable and non-communicable diseases, We conducted several campaigns in the remote areas of Rajshahi where people are unaware of health and nutrition and pregnancy related care. About 1.7 crore married women aged between 15 and 49 are suffering from malnutrition in Bangladesh. Malnutrition is an underlying cause of death of 2.6 million children each year . Child malnutrition is linked to poverty, low levels of education, and poor access to health services. Sufficient and good-quality nutrition is therefore critical for development, health, and survival of current and succeeding generations. This indicator monitors nutritional status and health in populations and relates to the first MDG aiming at reducing poverty and hunger. We conducted counselling and awareness campaign to 100 over underprivileged women of Charghat,Rajshahi in December 2018.Our Healthcare care programmes focused on:
- Maternal nutrition services like, distributing iron and folic acid tablets, weight monitoring, and nutrition counselling
- Counselling on breastfeeding and complementary feeding

stunting at birth which leads to malnutrition
